#JusticeForMohbad: Nigerian Police arrest Naira Marley
Notable Nigerian singer Azeez Fashola better known as Naira Marley has been arrested by police in connection with the death of his former signee Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad.
This is coming a few days after Naira Marley’s bestie and Lagos socialite Sam Larry was arrested at the Lagos airport upon his return to Nigeria over allegations suggesting his involvement in Mohbad’s death.
Few hours ago, Naira Marley who said he doesn’t have hands in Mohbad death took to his verified page on the X platform where he disclosed to the police that he is back in Lagos, Nigeria.
He wrote; “I’d like to share that I’ve just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation. It’s important I do my part for Imole. I’ll be meeting with the police with hopes for the truth to be uncovered and for justice to prevail.”
Confirming this, Nigerian police PRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin via his page on the X platform utters that Naira Marley has been arrested and taken into custody for interrogation.
The post reads; “Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities…”
